Breeders Jason & Meghan Butler

Our love for the heeler breed came with our first heeler Zip Butler. My husband always said he wanted a blue heeler, and he was gonna name him Zip, after a blue heeler in the movie Last of the Dog Men. Zip came into our family before we had kiddos, so he was pretty much our baby for a few years. That's when we fell in love with the breed. They are super extremely intelligent animals, but yet can be so goofy. They are amazing with kids, & very protective. When our little girl was 4 she wanted her own dog, so that's when our first female Trixi came into the picture. Trixi has most definitely taken on the momma hen role, even with my kiddos. When we are outside playing she watches them like a hawk. Here we are a few years later in the dog breeding business, along with Jason owning, and running  a trucking company, and me working a full time job with 3 kids. (things get wild sometimes). We have since added an 8th family member , a beautiful red heeler named Pepper. Our pups come with first set of puppy shots, two doses of wormer, a well vet check, and lots of love. They are well socialized with other dogs, cats, chickens, and children. 

If you aren't familiar with the breed, and thinking that you are interested I most definitely suggest doing your research. They are very high energy, and need somewhere or somehow to burn this energy off. When we first got Zip someone told me that with the heelers you need to make them feel important, and give them a job. Whether it be herding cattle, or being a best friend, you need to let them know they are needed. I have found this to be true with all three of ours. 

As far as looks go with these beautiful dogs, it does take a good three years for them to fill out. Just like we go through that awkward teenage state, they go through an awkward puppy stage.
